Eastside Power Authority
The Eastside Power Authority is a California Joint Powers Authority and Local Regulatory Authority formed under Irrigation District Law set forth in Division 11 of the Water Code.
Eastside’s member and associate member districts are located along the eastside of the San Joaquin Valley of California. It serves 31 water pumping loads that aggregate to 13 MW of demand and consume 35 million kWh per year. Eastside relies on its long-term contract for Central Valley Project hydro power that supplies between 40 to 60 percent of the energy it consumes to pump the Districts’ CVP water.
