PacifiCorp in Salt Lake City

PacifiCorp is an energy company and electricity provider in the western states. The company was founded in 1910. Rocky Mountain Power is a subsidiary of PacifiCorp. PacifiCorp serves more than 1.8 million customers, of which nearly 240,000 are commercial and industrial customers.

PacifiCorp owns, maintains and operates the largest privately owned electric distribution grid. The company owns 17,100 line miles of high-voltage transmission lines and 900 substations. PacifiCorp owns and operates 68 power plants. Most of the power plants are coal and natural gas-fired, but a significant percentage of the plants are powered by renewable energy. The largest hydroelectric plants are Lewis River, North Umpqua River, and Klamath River Hydroelectric Project.
