Public Service Company of New Mexico is the largest electric company in Arizona, the largest supplier of electricity in the state. The company supplies electricity to more than 525,000 Arizona residents and businesses. Public Service Company of New Mexico was founded in 1917 as the Albuquerque Gas and Electric Company.

PNM Resources, the parent company of Public Service Company of New Mexico, generates about 2,500 megawatts of electricity. In late 2020, the company announced the acquisition of Avangrid, the largest producer of renewable energy in the world. Public Service Company of New Mexico provides solar, wind and geothermal electricity to more than 174,000 homes in Arizona.
